"Gross, stop flirting," Beverly says as she climbs out of the car, wrinkling her nose, though her grin makes it clear that she's hardly serious. It's nice, actually, seeing the two of them tease each other, evidence that they really do like each other. She's not used to that, especially not with all the time she spent just tiptoeing around her father at home. He never brought anyone else back. It wouldn't have been good for anyone if he did.
